Rated 1 out of 5 by from Replacement did not work at all It was a pleasure to speak with your representative who sent me a replacement diffuser when mine failed soon after purchase. Sadly, the replacement diffuser never worked at all. Maybe you should redesign your diffusers as I bought another brand on Amazon that works every time and is never temperamental like the Ellia Voyager. Your diffuser requires a lot of cleaning and upkeep and works when it feels like it, or not at all. This product needs to go back to the drawing board. It’s a shame: you guys have brand recognition and a great logo and yet the products work only in fits and starts or not at all. I’m not sure what the problem is but the $14 Amazon diffuser is very reliable and yours is not. Thank you for replacing the original unit but it ultimately ended up being a waste of shipping and more plastic pollution to send me the same (completely) non working model.

No instructions.  Do you add water to the diffuser along with the 5-7 drops of oil?

I just bought this diffuser from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I can’t see the mist, but can smell and hear it, is this normal?

Yes. The diffuser doesn't produce a very thick mist, but if you can smell the essential oil, it's likely working as intended. If you would like to see the mist, it may help to put something dark behind the diffuser for improved contrast.

Do I have to used distilled water or will tap water be ok to use?

Any water will work in our diffusers, but we recommend using distilled. Using tap water may result in mineral buildup over time. If mineral buildup does start to interfere with the operation of the unit, it can be cleaned with a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar. Use the solution to rinse out the base and plastic lid, and use a soft bristled brush on the ultrasonic membrane to avoid damaging it.

i can’t see the most or whatever is supposed to come out of the top at all. is it even working ?

There is an oversight in the lovely little booklets enclosed with machine: nowhere in printed material or website does it indicate where ULTRASONIC MEMBRANE is located. There are no cleaning instructions either, except online. Stopped working! Help, pleas

Update: I added vinegar to water and ran the device. Then added filtered water and essential oils to just under the fill line — and now it is working again! Yay!

How do you know the diffuser is on?

The mist doesn't appear very thick, and can be hard to see depending on the light. It may help if you place something dark behind the diffuser for improved contrast. You might hear a very soft hum from the unit while it's running. You can also try picking up the cover to see if the water is splashing from the ultrasonic membrane. (Be careful while doing so, or it may get your table a bit wet)
