Rated 5 out of 5 by from CUTE It's petite, but once the oil gets up the wick (usually about a couple of hours) then the aroma is very pleasant!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cute, but... This is cute, but it very small and the color blue (specifically why I bought it) is not true to the picture at all. The color is so washed out, I can't tell exactly what color it is supposed to be. This came with the orange scented oil, which the company seems to push and it is not my favorite. This is for the bedroom and will be on the beside table. Hopefully, I will be able to enjoy the scent (i.e. it will give off enough scent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! I received this as a gift. I didn't think it would work well since it just sits and soaks up oil without electricity to blow out the scent, but I was wrong. This puts out a lot of scent and is cute sitting in my bathroom.

Q & A

How to clean?

Asked by: Emmmmm
Thank you for your question. To clean this diffuser, remove porcelain top and rinse inside of base with mild soap and water. Pour out and wipe down the outside surface with a soft cloth.

I put the whole bottle of oil that came with it and it was used up within three days! Is this normal? I think this thing is adorable, but at that rate it will be expensive to keep using it.

Asked by: djamy
The Element diffusers are designed to provide scent for up to 2 weeks if filled with 15mL of oil. Add another 15ml bottle of oil as needed, or when the rope wick begins to dry and the scent fades. Discoloration of the porcelain top is normal and will vary depending on the oil used. The porcelain top will also begin to fade in color when it is time to add more oil. Please note that a light scent such as a citrus will evaporate faster than a heavier scent like eucalyptus. Even when the oil has evaporated from the base of the diffuser, you will still smell the scent until the porcelain top has dried.

Does it have to be an Ellia brand essential oil that works with this diffuser or can it be any brand essential oil that will work with this specific diffuser?

Asked by: JPAL90
We have not tested other companies' oils for use in our diffusers. However our parent company, HoMedics, uses the same oils, so those can also be used in our diffusers.

Can you add water to the diffuser?  Or do I need to add the full 15ml?

Asked by: Iloveoils
When using our element diffusers, we recommend adding the oil undiluted.

Is it possible to clean the porcelain top and cord in order to use a different oil after its used up?

Asked by: Grace L
The oil and coloring on the wick and ceramic top should dissipate on their own as the oil runs out. You can then reuse the diffuser with another scent of your choice.
